What I like Monday: My parents’ 30th wedding anniversary

(I’m switching it up this week. Today will be “What I like Monday” and Wednesday will be “What I don’t like Wednesday”. Why am I switching it up you ask? Well today is my parents’ 30th wedding anniversary and I just want to congratulate them.)

My parents met in Texas while they were attending college. They got married in their early 20s. My dad worked with computers, my mom was a teacher. They had a few adventures, including having Kaitlin and me when they turned 30. My dad is technologically advanced, my mom is technologically challenged. My dad is a great photographer, my mom is a great writer. They get along well and genuinely enjoy each other’s presence. And today is their 30th wedding anniversary.

My parents are such awesome and amazing people. I’m sitting here, trying to think of ways to explain how much I love them but I’m honestly failing right now. They have supported me throughout my entire life. They have shown me unconditional love, even at times when maybe they weren’t completely happy with my decisions. I am confident that I will always be loved, I have no doubt of that, and that makes me feel wonderful.

Happy 30th wedding anniversary Mom and Dad. I am so thankful for both of you and I love you very much. Here’s to 30 more years!
