A group of ducks found a home…in a cul-de-sac

There is a group (or “herd”, as I told Gene once) of ducks that really like to hang out in this one cul-de-sac in our neighborhood. There are at least 15 of them (or, as Gene said, 16 or 18). They just walk around on the concrete, in the middle of the street. Granted, some of them stand by this tree by one of the nearby houses, but most of them are on the street.

It’s just so odd. Aren’t ducks supposed to fly somewhere warm for the winter? They’ve been here all year.

And aren’t ducks supposed to be in smaller groups? Not 15. That just seems like too many.

I just find the situation very interesting and thought I would share. Animals can be so weird.
