Today has been a shopping and organizing day. First, we went to a new game store called, Crit Castle. I had heard about it from reddit so I was excited. It’s a pretty small store with not too many games but the guy in there was cool and very friendly. Aka, I’ll definitely go back. Didn’t buy anything this time but might go buy Fiasco another time. It’s a game that was played on Geek and Sundry’s Tabletop. The guy at Crit Castle said he had played it and really enjoyed it. And the episode of Tabletop seemed really fun. I also want to buy Gloom, which is why we went to the game store, but they didn’t have it in stock at the time.
After the game store we went to the mall where I bought some new black shoes (see picture). Yay. I’ve been needing new ones for a while cause my old ones had holes on the bottom. Now I’m thinking about buying some boots from Delia’s. I want to get the dark brown ones. What do you guys think?
Then I got some lunch at the food court. Chick-fil-A. Yummy. Those lemonades are tasty.
Target came next. Well, Super Target. We got some groceries and I got some of those tiny socks you wear with flats. I like those a lot and Target had a good deal, better than Payless had so I’m glad I didn’t buy the ones there. We saw some cool leftover/cereal/etc containers at Target. They’re by OXO, and have really cool lids. You push this button in the middle of the lid and it pops up and you can open it, and when you pop it down the lids closes. Thinking I’m gonna get a couple of those for flour and sugar and maybe cereal and rice? They’re a bit pricier than I’d like to pay but they’re the best containers I’ve found so far.
And finally our shopping spree ended in Costco (of course). Got some fruit: grapes, nectarines, peaches, and some peppers and bread and some other stuff. But the biggest thing we got was a computer chair! Gene and I had been sitting on some fairly uncomfortable chairs (me, especially) so it was time we got a nice chair. We only got one for now but I think we’ll get another one eventually. For now, Gene will use the chair when I’m at work and I’ll use it when I’m home.
We got home and Gene put the chair together, quite easily too. Yay Costco for selling something with good instructions! We also tried putting up a curtain rod but can’t figure out how to get the first blue, plastic piece into the wall. We’ll work it out later! And now we’re watching some Tabletop and we’re gonna have pizza for dinner so I can use my new Star Trek pizza cutter! Woot!
