DMV and Bakery

Today I went to the DMV to get my new driver’s license. Since I live in my own place now and have a job, I figured it was time to get a license here. I had called the DMV’s number last week to make sure I was going to the right place. I say this because the guy on the phone actually told me of a place that he said would be faster  and he told me which days and times I should go (Place in Aurora on 14th Pl, Wednesday or Thursday, in the morning). I got there around 8:25 and left at 8:50. It took about 20 minutes for the whole process and it only took that long because there was something up with my Washington driver’s license not transfering or something.

I just want to say thank you DMV for being quick and awesome and doing everything you could to make sure I didn’t have to come back. It did cost $21.00 but I suppose that’s not too bad.

Gene and I went to the French bakery near our place afterward. There wasn’t as many baked/breakfast items as I thought there would be. It was mostly cookies and other dessert items so I was disappointed in that. We ended up getting a chocolate filled croissant type thing and an almond croissant type thing. Both were decent, although there was a part of the almond one that wasn’t fully cooked. I’m not sure I’ll go back anytime soon. I think I’ll stick with Panera for now. If you know of any good bakeries in the Aurora area, let me know!

Happy Thursday everyone!
