I had such a great Thanksgiving. Above is a picture of all the appetizers we had: brie, crackers, spinach artichoke dip, veggies and ranch, clementines, and grapes. Delicious!
I did take a picture of our meal but it turned out blurry so not posting on here.
Gene and I went over to my parents’ house around 12 and didn’t get home until around 9:30. As you can see in the picture, they had a little dog visiting. Her name is Muffet and she’s a pug/corgi mix. She’s pretty cute, although her eyes are totally cross-eyed. It was so nice getting to hang out with a dog. Still not close to ready for having my own pet though. Maybe in another year.
We watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade (thankfully recorded) for a bit. The anchors talked too much and didn’t show enough of the parade. It wasn’t as magical as it was when I was a kid. All the commercials might also be a contributing factor. I think there were more commercials than there was actual parade.
Then we had Thanksgiving dinner and it was delicious. And for dessert we had pecan pie, pumpkin pie, cheesecake, and homemade chocolate oatmeal cookies. Mmmm.
Later we watched the movie Fried Green Tomatoes and we played Black Ops. I am so much better at it now than I was the first time I played! Go me!
I’m very thankful for my family. I am thankful for living in Colorado and having a job that I enjoy. I am thankful for all my friends and family who were not able to be with me on Thursday but who love me and whom I love.
Happy (late) Thanksgiving everyone!
