Holiday cookies: Hay Stacks

2012-12-22 17.40.53So my family and I call these treats “Chinese noodles” because we use chow mien noodles. Gene thinks that’s a bit racist so we’re going to be calling them “hay stacks” from now on. 😀

This recipe is very basic and yet churns out very delicious morsels. Doesn’t take long to make at all either so it’s great for a party or a potluck.

Hay Stacks

  • 1 package (12 oz) chocolate chips
  • 1 package (12 oz) butterscotch chips
  • 1 package (10 oz, or two 6 oz bags works as well) chow mien noodles
  1. Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips in a pan.
  2. Add chow mien noodles and fold.
  3. Use spoon to drop chunks of mixture onto wax paper/foil.
  4. Let sit for a bit until firm and enjoy!
