Maybe it’s the rainy weather but I want to make something. I want a project, maybe a sewing one. I’ve thought about doing a sew-a-long, although the two I found have already passed I figure I could still follow them. A found a circle skirt sew-a-long somehow or another, but the skirt is a bit too long for me so I’m not sure I’ll choose that to do. I’m sure I could shorten it but I’d rather do something straight from the book, not make any edits. At least for my first sew-a-long. I didn’t even know sew-a-longs existed until a few months ago when I found that blog. I think that’s such an awesome activity that the internet has led to. Does anyone know of any cool, simple sew-a-longs? Skirts, shirts, shorts maybe? I think I’ll do some google searches and see what I can find.
Of course, fabric is fairly pricey in my opinion so I’ll wait until I have a bit more spending money or until a sale goes on. I wish fabric was cheaper.
I also found this cute elephant door stop pattern and instructions. Oh my gosh click on that link and see how adorable that project is. I think I’m going to have to make that one day, I just don’t know where I’d put it or what I’d use it for.
I think I want to get into crocheting as well. When I went to reddit’s game night a few weekends ago I met a woman that crocheted some awesome stuff: superhero dolls, hats, etc. I want to be able to do that. I vaguely remember my grandma teaching me how to crochet, but I never took to it so I’d like to learn again.
I was also thinking about making a Halloween wreath for my front door. My friend Katie made some wreaths last year that were so pretty. I’m thinking I’m going to do one like she did.
The point is, I guess I’m gonna have to go to the craft store soon and let my creativity shine!
