Day 67. Making up songs.

Yesterday I was driving to, maybe from, work and I was thinking about a song that I had written when I was in 5th grade. It had to do with Martin Luther King Jr. and everyone being equal. I thought it was amazing and really clever. I remember singing it all the time. I especially remember swinging at recess by myself and singing it. I have no idea why I was by myself. I really thought I had friends in that grade…

I’m afraid I can’t remember the song now. I wish I had enough foresight to have written it down somewhere but sadly I don’t think that happened. Maybe it’s for the best. I’m sure my song wasn’t as awesome as I thought it was. It’s better if it only stays in my memory because then I will never know how good or bad it was.

I like the fact that I wrote songs. I take it as a good sign that I was, and am, creative. Maybe one day I’ll write another song, about something else, and it will be good. Who knows!
