Since November is my birthday month (yay), I will be doing fun facts about November every week this month. Here are three interesting facts to start us off:
- November’s birthstone is topaz and/or citrine. Both of them can be orange or yellow in color, although according to the American Gem Society, topaz can also be pink, purple, and blue. That makes me a bit upset since I always thought topaz had to be that, in my opinion, ugly orange-y color. Granted, the color does go along with the fall season.
- November’s birth flower is the chrysanthemum. Chrysanthemums were first grown in China in the 15th century BC. According to Birth Month Flowers, chrysanthemums symbolize “cheerfulness, friendship, abundance, wealth, and loveliness”
- November 13th is World Kindness Day. The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation has a list of ideas of what one can do on that day. Let’s all try to be kind on Wednesday, November 13th so we can spread love.
And those are some cool facts about November. Now go out there and be kind!
