Post a Day 2013/2014 · What I like Wednesday

Day 121. What I like Wednesday, thank you.

I have decided to no longer do “What I like Wednesday” posts. It was a tough decision, and I’m still sad about it, but I think it’s for the best. I struggle with interesting things to talk about on those posts and sometimes it seems to drag a bit.

I enjoyed doing “What I like Wednesday” and I will miss it, but I am going to still do something similar. Instead of doing a weekly “What I like Wednesday”, I’m going to do a biweekly (every other week) post called “A few of my favorite things”. I already did a post like that last week and I liked writing it. I feel like this way, I can still do a kind of “What I like Wednesday” post but it isn’t as often. So this means that I can have better quality posts.

I have been doing “What I like Wednesday”, almost continuously, since March 9, 2011 . That’s 2 1/2 years I’ve been doing this. Dang. There have been 106 posts tagged with the “What I like Wednesday” tag, and somehow 107 posts tied to the “What I like Wednesday” category (don’t know how that happened). It’s hard for me to let go since I’ve been writing these posts for so long but it’s time. And me writing every day for a year is about change and embracing new experiences, so this should be good for me.

I’d like to share some of my favorite “What I like Wednesdays” now to send it off in a proper goodbye:

There are more, but I’ve shared enough. Thank you “What I like Wednesday” for getting me to start posting once a week. It helped me be more positive, look for things to enjoy, and to write more. You will be missed.
