Yesterday was the last day my cousin and uncle were in town, so what did we do? We made crayon art!
It was the first time Kaitlin and my cousin had done it so it was a lot of fun to see what they came up with. I made some too and my goal was to make it look kind of like space. I wanted blues and purples with bursts of color. I really like how it turned out!
It was fun to try new things this time around. I glued the crayons halfway off the canvas instead of completely on like last time. It worked out okay but the crayons started to bend at the top because they were so hot. I think next time I’ll split crayons in half and glue them on that way. Maybe I’ll be courageous enough next time to glue crayons all around the canvas and not just one side! I bought some more canvas and crayons today so I can do another one some time soon. I really enjoy doing it! Kaitlin’s turned out really pretty, she did a heart pattern in reds. My cousin’s first one was a bit dark, the colors blended together a tad much, but her second one was gorgeous. She only used six crayons on her second one, which was a very interesting idea that turned out lovely. I’ll have to try that too!
