Washi tape: How have I not discovered this until now? My gosh washi tape is so cool. Granted, I haven’t even touched or used the tape but from what I’ve seen online, it’s awesome. Washi tape seems like a “do anything you want” material. Want to use it on your walls like wallpaper? Go for it. Want to put it on your lightswitches? Why not. Use it for cards, wrapping decorations, pencil covers. The list just goes on. So what do I do? I make a Pinterest board of course! What in the world would I do without Pinterest? My board is a bit small at the moment but that’s because some of the pins actually go to sites with multiple ideas. What a concept. I plan on buying some washi tape from Costco next week so I’m excited to experiment and see what I do. Costco has 20 washi tapes (I believe this exact product) for only $10 or $15, so definitely gotta pick that up! One roll at Target is $3, fyi. Etsy also sells lots of washi tape so I might have to buy some unique ones from there. Amazon offers the tape as well for those who have Prime.
Desk lamp: I mentioned a week or so ago that I had gotten a lamp when I spent the day with Kaitlin. I was afraid that it wouldn’t work out because the light was too bright. But Gene, always the brilliant one, came up with the clever idea of just getting a dimmer light bulb. So this past weekend I found a 210 lumens light bulb. It works so well! Now I come home and turn on my desk lamp instead of turning on most of the other lights in the living room. The lamp is also really cute, I love the grey and yellow color scheme. So glad it ended up working out!
