Day 260. Moontower Tacos

2014-04-01 12.59.39

Today I had lunch with Gene! We went to a taco place near his work called Moontower Tacos. It is a local restaurant that specializes in unique tacos. Gene had been there once before and upon hearing about it, I wanted to give it a try.

I had a breakfast taco and an avocado taco. They were both delicious and filling. The breakfast taco I got was called the Suicide (I’m not sure why) and was so tasty. It had egg, potato, cheese, chorizo, bacon, and avocado. The avocado taco, or Guac Tuac, had two huge chunks of avocado covered in panko breadcrumbs and fried. There was also black beans, corn, and pico de gallo on it. OMG, that was a great taco. I honestly could have gotten one taco and been full by the end, but since this was my first time I figured why not. Besides, I was hungry and I had no problem eating them both.

The tacos range from around $3 to $5 but I’d have to say it’s worth it. They also have special soda with pure cane sugar. Although I don’t drink soda, Gene got a cup and seemed to really like it.

I would not mind going back there. The food came out quickly, was flavorful, and not too expensive. I just hope they’ll open another restaurant closer to me one day!
