I don’t remember if I’ve mentioned going to Korea on this blog but, in any case, I am, and it’s soon! I’ll be leaving this Saturday morning and will be arriving in South Korea Sunday evening (Korean time, I have no idea what time it’ll be in Colorado).
I am so flipping excited to go. For a while I was nervous about jet lag, since I had a difficult time returning from my trip to Europe this past Christmas, and that’s the same direction we’ll be going this time. But eventually that fear diminished and was overcome by the pure excitement to see my friends and go to a place I’ve never been before. Granted, I’m not looking forward to the 6am flight but that’s only a small bump in the awesome time I’ll have.
I went to three different banks yesterday to try to exchange currency. Every one of them told me no, for different reasons, but still it was a bit annoying. Then today I went to my actual bank and asked them. They do exchange currency, but it would take 2 to 3 days and my request wouldn’t be processed until tomorrow. So I couldn’t risk it. The lesson I learned from that story? I dislike cash in all currencies and think it should be burned. Let’s all use credit cards or some kind of computer chip in our wrists or our phones, something other than a physical piece of paper that means nothing. /end rant
Gonna start packing tomorrow. Eeek! It’s getting closer! So close! This is going to be amazing!
