I visited my parents for a few hours yesterday. Gene had to work in order to continue and make progress on a project he’s been working on lately. His boss went in as well to answer some questions Gene had been waiting on. I thought it was a bit crappy (no one really wants to work on a day off) but he is paid for it, so that’s good.
I got to my parents’ home in time for some lunch and then we played Forbidden Island. So glad they were up for playing a game, it was a lot of fun (and, of course, we won). I also got some laundry done and then we browsed houses for sale in the area Gene and I are hoping to buy one.
This morning Gene and I met with our real estate agent for the first time to discuss the process and really so I could feel comfortable with our choice. We have been pre-approved for a mortgage loan and now it’s time for us to start looking for houses. Guess we’ll see how this goes! I think by the end of this I’ll have to write a “how-to” guide for this whole process.
