Yesterday Gene and I made our own cat scratching posts for Pippin. I bought a piece of wood and sisal rope at Lowes for a total of $9. Gene cut the wood in half, I wrapped the sisal rope around each piece and boom, scratching posts. One is now nailed to the wall in the den and the other in the bedroom. I think they go pretty well with the walls and curtains, it’s like a small usable art piece.
