On Monday, we went hiking at Mount Falcon open space. Although it was quite crowded in the beginning we got onto a trail that had MUCH less people and the hike was really pleasant.
There are “castle” ruins of a home that you can walk around, which is pretty neat. Sidney read that the home was struck by lightning in the early 1900s. It would have been a really nice house, it’s quite big, and the view from it is great.
The weather was quite nice and made even better by the fact that we all brought hats. I didn’t even bring a jacket, I only had a short-sleeved shirt on and I was fine! That in itself makes me very happy.
The views along the trails are beautiful too, especially now that the wild flowers are in bloom. Oh how I love seeing wild flowers throughout the grass and forest, it’s such an uplifting sight. This place is only an hour away from us, that’s not bad at all!
Great place to get a quick hike near Denver!
Beautiful pics!
