Hiking, tea, and Lydia

Since Wednesday was Lydia’s last full day with us we had to do something fun. We started the morning with Elisabeth making us some delicious turkey bacon and then we hopped in the car and drove to Boulder. We hiked along the Flatirons, something I wanted to do, and spent a couple hours looking at lovely views of Boulder and the surrounding area. As we neared the end of our hike we saw a black Abert’s squirrel, this adorable black squirrel with ear tufts. I don’t think I had seen one before and it was so enjoyable to watch him running around.

After the hike we ate at an Indian restaurant and then stopped at Celestial Seasonings Tea Factory for some tasting and touring. I love the fact that it’s all free AND it’s interesting. The tour guide provided different information than the last time I went a year ago, which made me like the place even more. Too bad I don’t like tea.

We ended the day by watching the last presidential debate and playing another game of Concept. Oh the laughs we have when trying to guess someone’s phrase or word.

I forgot my camera at home so no pictures this time around.

I think this weekend we are going to carve pumpkins and I might go on another hike since the weather will be pleasant yet again. Got to soak up the warmth while I can!
