I go back to work tomorrow after an entire week off. Oh how my week was so nice and relaxing. Although I am bummed I can no longer sleep in, I’m not worried about going back to work. It may be busy tomorrow but I don’t think it will be an overwhelming or bad day.
Today was filled with reading, playing Civ 6, and going on a walk. Elisabeth made homemade apple pie for us, which was delicious. As she said, it’s a great way to say “hello work, here I come”. We made her shepherd’s pie recipe for dinner which was also really tasty and is now an addition to our dinner rotation (it was also REALLY easy to make).
Pippin is currently laying on my lap. Gene and Elisabeth are each playing games and I’m sitting here happily, thinking about what a great life I have. Sure, I have to work 40 hours a week, but look at all the things I have in my life. Gratitude really does make a person happy.
I think I’m going to sleep well tonight. I better, because I have a 6am wake up call. 🙂
