Goodbye postcard wall

Pippin for scale

I took down the “postcard” wall that’s been up in one form or another for over three and a half years now (this is how it started out). I had been debating it for months and decided it was time to make room for different art (Pippin art perhaps?). I estimate that there has been about 50 different pieces on the wall throughout its life. I don’t have a picture of it at its end but there were a total of 38 pieces in its final stage.

I want to thank everyone who sent me postcards, art, items, and photos. Whether you meant it for the wall or not, they were put up. I got a lot of enjoyment looking at that art installation. Taking it all down was a bit sad but it was awesome to go through every piece and see all the people that contributed throughout the three years. Fifteen people made up that wall, sixteen if you count myself. Lydia had the most pieces with 10 (she did a lot of travelling), followed by Katie with three. There were key chains, pictures, fans, postcards, a patch, artwork, and a dream catcher. These items will now be added to my memory box so I can go back and look at them whenever I’m feeling reminiscent.

What a lovely part of my life.
