Winter of Reading

Yesterday, while dinner was simmering, Elisabeth, Sidney and I drove down to our Denver library and signed up for the Winter of Reading program. We got a nifty program that you can also color! And since you can color it, the library gave us free coloring pencils. On top of that, we got a buy one get one coupon for Chipotle that’s good for a year. Talk about awesomeness on top of awesomeness.

All three of us are trying to read more this year so we thought this two month program would be good for us. Somewhat oddly, you don’t actually have to read to complete the program. Still, I imagine we’ll all try to read as much as we can and more.

Along with all those goodies we were given a calendar of events for February and guess what I’m going to do at the end of the month? Make my own snowglobe! That’s something I’ve never done before, hope it turns out pretty. The library is providing all of the materials so why NOT go?!
