The rest of my Sunday was nice. I took a bath, using the bath bomb that my housemates got me. It was called Goddess of the Forest and it smelled lovely and made the water a gorgeous dark green that sadly did not turn out well as a picture. I read a lot and had homemade tofu bahn mi for dinner.
I forgot to tell everyone that I planted the ground cover plants I had purchased the previous weekend. I feel like I look out the window every 10 minutes now to see if they’ve grown any. I think I’m going to need to learn some patience right quick as the kind of growth I want is not going to happen in such a short period of time. Still, it’s really nice to look out and not see total dirt out there. I’m so optimistic about the future of my yard!

It should also be noted that the jalapeno plant is growing jalapenos! Gasp, it’s actually happening and I’m just hoping I can keep it alive long enough to harvest some. It’s looking pretty good but it could probably use some more water and one of the storms recently made it lean a bit but I have hope.
I submitted a request for an international driver’s permit today so I can drive in New Zealand this November so that’s kind of exciting. I had a dream the other night that I drove successfully in New Zealand so I’d like to think that’s my subconscious saying “we can do it! We can totally drive safely on the other side of the road!” Fun times ahead!
