Felfel, friends, and plants

FelFel

I finally went back to FelFel, the Mediterranean restaurant that my parents and I ate at years and years ago. Wow the place has changed, and for the better! What was a Chipotle-like ordering system became a menu and cash register. The decor was upgraded to clean lines and warm colors. The restaurant looks great and the food matched it. I got a steak shwarma pita sandwich and it was delicious. The pita bread was so soft and slightly sweet, it was perfect for me. There was plenty of meat and it was good meat too. I also tried their noodle feta salad and liked that too. It’s a bit pricey for my taste but it makes sense because they’re so close to the tech center. Make that money! I also purchased myself some baklava and it’s some of the best baklava I’ve ever had. Thank goodness I don’t live too close or I’d be going there all the time.

Columbine

We went in order to hang out with our friend Josh, whom we hadn’t seen in over a month. It was really good to catch up with him. We learned that he gets up at 4:30am every day to go to the gym – that’s a bit too crazy for me but all props go to him.

Today in plant world I discovered that two more of my plants have flowered! Two more plants that didn’t flower last year and here they are now with gorgeous flowers to show off. I am loving it. Each day there is something new to discover and to enjoy. I think I’m going to like horticulture.
