What a gorgeous day yesterday was and today is turning out to be, I had to stop reading at lunch yesterday because I needed to appreciate the sun and the sky and the warmth. So I sat and stared at the most perfect robin’s blue sky without a cloud in it. And I closed my eyes and felt the breeze and the sun and my body and mind were happy. Today I sat outside with Pippin, in just a t-shirt and jeans. And tomorrow we will get 4 inches of snow. Love you, Colorado.

The past two nights I haven’t slept very well because my nose is now stuffy. This morning I woke up around 5 and couldn’t go back to sleep so I got up around 6:20, before my regular weekday alarm. I felt a bit annoyed but what to do. This morning I went and got drug tested for work where I met two dogs and fawned over the spider plants in the office, they were HUGE! I went grocery shopping and then I came home and took a nap. That’s right, I actually took a nap. 99% of the time I do not nap, I don’t believe it’s good for the body, but this body of mine definitely needed it today. Getting less sleep and being sick, it needed some rest time it turns out so off to nap time I went. Really hope I’m over this cold thing by Monday.

I brought my work laptop home with me along with vpn instructions so if it does snow a bunch tomorrow I can hopefully work from home. Wow am I loving this job. We’re hiring my counterpart and I think with that person and my manager, we’re going to be a great team.

In a couple of hours I’ll be going, with Brittany, to watch the concert that Elisabeth is in! I am so excited to get to see her play, I haven’t seen Elisabeth play since college. I mean, I have heard her practicing in her room every week, but I haven’t seen her and I definitely haven’t seen her on stage. So I’m legit looking forward to this. The theme for this concert is pirate so my outfit today is inspired by Smee. I’m loving it.
