I saw some of my coworkers in person on Wednesday! One of my coworkers suggested that a group of us meet up and have a social distancing dinner one day and you know I was totally down for that. So we met in our building’s parking lot, set up chairs six plus feet apart, and reveled in the fact that we were within feet of one another. Seeing them lifted my spirits immensely. We ended up staying out there for three hours! Turns out we missed each other quite a bit and had a lot to say to one another, even though we chat with each other every week via text and video. But you know it’s just not quite the same. We’ll definitely be doing it again and one coworker even said she’d bring her screen and projector and we could watch a movie sometime. Oh hell yes, I so want to do that. Social distancing get togethers are going to be the thing from now on I think.

I’ll be having a social distancing picnic with Elisabeth and Brittany in just a bit. We’re going to pick up some sushi and eat at a nearby park. I shall have a lovely time I’m sure.

Yesterday I went to Lowe’s to pick up yellow jacket traps, a hummingbird feeder, and soil. There weren’t as many people as I keep hearing are at Lowe’s and Home Depot so perhaps I hit the right Lowe’s on the right day. Most everyone was wearing a mask too, which was comforting, and we all did pretty well spacing ourselves out. That made me feel good, I want more encounters like that. And I am happy to report that all of my plants have now been planted thanks to the soil. All my hostas and columbines now have a home and my outdoor ferns are still doing great as far as I can tell. I think there’s even been some growth. I shall take pictures one of these days and share. Alas, today is a picture-less day, which is kind of drab but next time I promise photos!
